Nature Explorers-Brownies-Plants and Trees Everywhere
Take a nature walk through fields and woodland and discover the wide variety of plants and trees at our camp. Find out through hands-on activities which plants are helpful and which ones mean trouble. Become a “Plant/Tree Detective” as you examine different species to learn the secrets of how they survive and bloom. Inspect a pile of last autumn’s fallen leaves to search for critters that help those leaves change into soil in which new plants can grow.

Rainforests seem so far away from us, but are they really? How are they part of our lives every day? You will learn how the rainforests are able to be home for the largest variety of animals and plants in the world. Take part in games and hands-on activities that will teach you about rainforest birds, reptiles, amphibians and mammals and the amazing ways they survive. Find out why it is so important to keep the rainforests of the world from being destroyed.

Nature Explorers-Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors-Service Project
Join with other Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors to improve the natural and/or man-made resources at either Camp Small Valley, You could help clean the waterways, clear overgrown areas of vegetation, do an anti-erosion project or make improvements for wildlife or camplife in the area. Choose the project you wish to do and earn hours of service or leadership towards Girl Scout recognitions.
